A Good Faith Exam (GFE) is a required medical evaluation performed by a licensed healthcare provider—such as a physician, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant—to determine if IV therapy is safe and appropriate for you.
In North Carolina, a GFE must be completed before your first IV infusion and repeated at least once a year or if your health status changes. This exam ensures that your plan is medically sound and tailored to your unique needs.
How do you get a GFE with NCMIVM?
We make it easy! Your GFE can be completed through a secure telehealth appointment with one of our licensed medical providers. During the brief consultation, they will review your health history, discuss your wellness goals, and ensure that IV therapy is a good fit for you.Once approved, you’ll be eligible to receive IV treatments from NCMIVM for the next 12 months.
-
We infuse our medications, fluids, and vitamins slowly over the course of 30-60 minutes.

Anytime you feel like you need an internal boost to your health and vitality.
Our cells use water and vitamins to perform all of the basic functions our bodies need. Any time we are stressed from an illness or an event, our cells can deplete our internal vitamin and hydration stores. IV vitamins and fluids give our bodies a direct supply of nutrients helping us with any internal or external stress.
Our IV wellness services are designed to support hydration, energy, and immune function year-round. Many clients use IV therapy to feel their best before travel, special events, or athletic activities.
Our goal is to help you feel refreshed, balanced, and ready for whatever’s ahead — all from the comfort of your home.
-
While frequent IV therapies can help everyone, it is prudent to have limits.
Our Medical Directors have a therapy limit of 4 liters of IV fluids in a rolling 7 day period and some limits on certain vitamins. We also have limits on patients older than 65, and under 18 with 2 liters in a rolling 7 day period.

The main difference between taking vitamins in pill form versus IV (intravenous) therapy is how quickly and effectively the body absorbs the nutrients:
Absorption Rate:
Pill form: When you take vitamins orally, they must first pass through the digestive system, where they are broken down before being absorbed into the bloodstream. This process can reduce the amount of vitamins that actually get absorbed (often between 20-50%), depending on factors like digestive health, the quality of the supplement, and food interactions.
IV therapy: With IV therapy, vitamins are delivered directly into the bloodstream, bypassing the digestive system entirely. This allows for nearly 100% absorption, ensuring that your body gets the full benefit of the vitamins immediately.
Speed of Effects:
Pill form: Because oral vitamins go through digestion, it can take hours or even days for your body to fully process and utilize them, especially if you’re deficient.
IV therapy: The effects are often felt much faster, since the vitamins are immediately available for use by your body, making IV infusions particularly effective for rapid hydration, energy boosts, or recovery.
Higher Potency:
Pill form: The dosage in pills is often lower because of the limitations of what can be absorbed through the digestive system, and high doses can sometimes cause stomach upset.
IV therapy: Higher doses of vitamins can be administered without overwhelming your digestive system, making IV infusions suitable for individuals who need large quantities of nutrients for health reasons or recovery.
Personalized Delivery:
Pill form: Oral supplements are generally standardized, and it can be challenging to tailor them to specific needs.
IV therapy: With IV infusions, the vitamin mix can be customized based on individual health goals, deficiencies, or medical conditions, providing a more tailored approach to vitamin delivery.
Overall, IV therapy provides faster, more effective absorption and can be more potent than taking vitamins in pill form. It's a great option for those looking for immediate benefits, people with digestive issues, or those needing targeted and high-dose vitamin therapies.

NAD+ (Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide) is a crucial coenzyme found in every cell of the body, playing key roles in various biological processes. It is essential for:
Energy Production: NAD+ is vital for converting nutrients into energy, facilitating the production of ATP, which powers cellular functions.
Cellular Repair: This coenzyme supports DNA repair, helping to maintain the health and integrity of our cells, which is important for longevity.
Metabolism Regulation: NAD+ is involved in various metabolic pathways, influencing how our bodies process fats and carbohydrates.
Brain Function: Adequate levels of NAD+ are important for maintaining cognitive function and overall brain health. NAD+ can help improve nerve damage and cognitive issues like Dementia and Alzheimer’s.
As we age, NAD+ levels naturally decline, which can affect energy production, metabolic efficiency, and the body’s ability to repair cells. This decrease is linked to age-related health issues, including fatigue, decreased resilience, and cognitive decline.
NAD+ can be administered either through intravenous (IV) or intramuscular (IM) routes, allowing for rapid absorption and maximum benefits. This infusion is especially popular among individuals looking to boost energy levels, enhance mental clarity, and support overall wellness. Our tailored IV infusions are designed to help replenish NAD+ levels, promoting vitality as we age.
